Privacy policy
For the LinkedIn Growth Coach (based on Cory Warfield's Viral Growth Masterclass), its web pages, and the Cory Profile Helper Chrome extension. Last updated October 23, 2026.
What we handle
- Your coach copy. When you tap "Do you want me to implement all of this for you?", the coach packs the copy written for you (headline, About, experience, skills, Featured, banner and photo notes, first post) into a private link. It is either carried inside the link itself, or kept on our server under a random code for up to 24 hours and then deleted automatically.
- Your LinkedIn profile (only if you choose "Connect my LinkedIn"). On the coach's /connect page you can send your own profile in one of three ways: the Cory Profile Helper reads your own profile page in your browser when you click "Read my profile", you paste the text of your profile, or you attach a screenshot in your AI chat. You see everything that was found and can untick any part before tapping "Get my profile code". Only what you send is used: name, headline, About, location, experience, education, skills, Featured titles, recommendation count, and whether you have a photo, banner and company logos. It is either carried inside the profile code itself, or kept on our server under a random code for up to 24 hours and then deleted automatically. We never fetch or scrape LinkedIn from our servers.
- Sign in with LinkedIn on /connect (optional). This sign-in asks only for openid and profile. We read your name and whether you have a profile photo once, then revoke the sign-in right away. We don't keep the token, your email or your member id.
- LinkedIn sign-in (only if you choose to publish your first post). LinkedIn gives us a one-time sign-in with the permissions you approve (openid, profile, email, w_member_social). We use it once, in that moment, to publish the post you approved, then revoke it. We don't save your LinkedIn token, name, email or member id.
- The Chrome extension. It reads your copy from the coach's /implement page and keeps it in your browser's local extension storage for up to 24 hours. On linkedin.com it only works on the edit form you open from its side panel: it types your copy into that form and highlights the Save button. You review and click Save yourself. When you click "Read my profile" (in its side panel or on /connect), it opens your own profile (linkedin.com/in/me) in a background tab, reads the sections listed above from the page, closes the tab and hands the result to the /connect page, where you check it before anything is sent.
What we don't do
- We don't collect your LinkedIn password, messages, connections, feed or browsing history.
- The extension only reads your own profile page, and only when you click "Read my profile". It doesn't read other people's profiles, and nothing is sent to us until you tap "Get my profile code".
- Your profile is turned into coaching with fixed rules on our server; it isn't sent to an AI model by us. The coach's replies go to the AI chat you're using, as with anything else you share there.
- We don't sell, rent or share your data, and we don't use it for ads or for training AI models.
- No analytics or tracking scripts.
Permissions the extension asks for
- Access to linkedin.com: to open your edit forms and fill in your copy, and to read your own profile page when you click "Read my profile".
- Access to the coach site (cory-linkedin-coach-brets-projects-1715089a.vercel.app): to receive your copy from the /implement page.
- storage: to keep your copy on your computer for 24 hours. scripting: to fill the form you opened. sidePanel: to show the step-by-step panel. downloads: to save your banner or photo image so you can upload it.
Your choices
You can skip any step. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored. Links and profile codes expire after 24 hours. To remove LinkedIn access at any time, go to LinkedIn Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services.
